2010 RESOLUTION REVIEW

We're at that time of year when it's time to assess where you wanted to be and where you are at. How successful were you with your resolutions for 2010? It's important to know this before even considering your 2011 goals.

And with that my review is below.

1) Weight Loss - 37.4kg:-

I lost 18.9kg this year which is just over half what I wanted to but I'm still much better off now than I was new years day 2010. When I weighed in at 101.4kg and I'm basically a different person to the 126.9kg girl I was in 2009.

2) Career Progression:-

Well I moved a bit with Fitness First but in the end got sick of the promises and moved on. A massive thing for me after 4 years with the company giving my entire life up for them. I'm now working for Adrenalin and couldn't be happier.

3) Spend more time with family and friends:-

This was all work related but my social life is on the increase definitely. And I expect as I return to normal life I'll get heaps more time with them all.

4) Enjoy life more:-

Definitely! You have no idea how much life improves once you lose weight. Or how much your life is impacted just by being overweight. I can't wait to get to normal if I feel good now whats it like at goal?

5) Spend more time with Storm:-

Happy to say Storm and I have been walking a bit and I really enjoy spending time with her. She'd be an inside dog if I had my way but this is one battle I lost straight up.

6) Be more organised and de-cluttered:-

Very happy to say I am definitely! There is still heaps of work to be done but progress has been made.

Overall looking back on 2010 goals I am really happy. There has been positive movement on every single goal. I'm in a really good place at the moment an happy as can be.

So now I've done my review I can start thinking about 2011. And it's already shaping up to be a huge year in the deluded princess household.

Flirty 30!

I have freaked out all year about turning the big 3-0. It's a huge birthday and being the girl who was supposed to have the career, husband, house and 3.2 children by 21 I felt like turning thirty must of meant I failed somewhere along the line.

But I woke up this morning and rolled over in bed, got up, washed my hair and jumped on the scales (new low weight yeehaa) to find out that today in fact was actually no different than yesterday or the day before that and 30 is merely just another number in the race called life.

We spent the day doing some wedding planning together and trying to squeeze as much in as possible.

I don't have big celebrations for my birthday because of the time of year so instead of party planning or any of that I organized to have dinner with my fiancĂ©, my parents who are up from Melbourne for the occasion  and a couple of friends.

Unfortunately true to form the restaurant we had chosen (which doesn't take bookings) was closed for the Christmas / New Year period which we found out on arrival. So we ended up back up the Northern Beaches at Braza for a nice meal and many nice drinks.

I left the cakes at home to give us a break between dinner and dessert and we all headed back home to enjoy them. We all enjoyed chocolate mousse cake and baked ricotta cheesecake with a little Moscato to wash it down.

So now I've hit flirty 30! Wow who'd have thought? It sneaks up on all of us.

Virtual Reality v Real Life

When it comes to my blog I've been pretty quiet of late. I do apologize if you have been checking back frequently updates I'm happy to introduce you to the follow button on the right hand side of my page so you know when I update or you could use feedburner or bloglines like me =)

I don't know why I feel all guilty about not checking in. I think its because I feel a bit of pressure to keep you all up to date and entertained.

So much is happening in my life that Lately I've been too busy living my real life to be anywhere near the computer talking about it. It's such a great problem to have really.

So thanks for being patient with me. I'm sure now Christmas had past and we move into 2011 I'll blog a little more then closer to the wedding less again but as life ebbs and flows you'll always hear from me. I'm not planning on going away.

A belated Merry Christmas to all. I do hope you enjoyed time with family and friends and you were blessed as we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus.

Guns 'n' Roses

I don't know if I have told you lately that I my new job! Moving on has been awesome for me and making it even sweeter there are perks! PERKS people! Perks like Corporate Box Tickets to major events and concerts like say the Sydney 500 and perhaps lets top that off with a Guns 'n' Roses Concert.

You have no idea how excited I was when I was offered these tickets. Even more excited when I found out Mr TDP was coming too and EVEN more excited when I ended up with a 3rd ticket so my future Matron of Honour could join us. ***SQUUUEEEEEEEE***

So for 2 days I was a little worried leading up to the concert. I mean Axl Rose has been known to turn up extremely late, throw the odd tantrum and generally misbehave, also I am into the old Gunners. The new stuff I have no idea about. Never heard a thing of Chinese Democracy, which is their latest album. But I was fairly well consoled with the idea of free food and drink, so the night could never be wasted.

Our Seats are actually down the front but it's so damn wet!

It was pouring down when we arrived for the V8's. We spent the day in various wedding appointments (Can't put them off any more so we had to do it) and by the time we got to the track there wasn't many cars left in the race. A few of those that were had left panels behind in other places. And almost all of them were looking pretty rough around the edges. The platinum grandstand we were in was in an awesome spot but it wasn't undercover and I was very grateful that Jase ignored me when I said we didn't need an umbrella and brought it along anyway.

We watched the end of the race and then went for a wander through the merchandise tents. I ended up with a Sydney 500 cap in pink and a new Holden Jacket which was both on special and a size 14! I was already excited about the jacket. Getting it in a 14 makes made me giddy with delight. Then we headed back towards the concert.
Loz (MOH) and Jadey (TDP)

There was a huge flashing light out the front making the "Public" walk around to another entrance while "Corp guests" were invited into the closest entry. There was also a sign out the front that said no umbrellas so Jase asked where to find the cloakroom and the guys said "mate it's ok, you are corporate you guys can bring in whatever you like". Sweet.

Our corp box was in a brilliant position to the right of the stage. Not too far back but far enough for a decent view. The food and drink were a bonus and having a fully stocked mini fridge beside you at a concert means never missing a song just because you are dying of thirst.

The first act was a band I personally had never heard of, didn't know any of their songs and can't remember their name. The 2nd Act was Spiderbait, which was ok…… Then they played Calypso and Black Betty and of course the crowd went OFF!

Before Guns 'n' Roses hit the stage I thought I would trawl the Merchandise stand. I was disappointed with the lack of option, they didn't even sell caps! I ended up with a ladies T-shirt. Which, yes, I have already been wearing today.

I was pleasantly surprised when they were running only 15 – 20 mins or so late, apparently he'd just arrived at that stage and normally his chef cooks 20 meals for him, he chooses one and eats before the show then if he's hungry eats another. But last night he must have come out immediately. But I was hesitant to get into it when they kicked off with Chinese Democracy (I only know that's what it was cause Triple M posted a very handy set list) But when song 2 was "Welcome to The Jungle", followed by "It's So Easy", followed by "Mr Brownstone" I knew I was in the right place. This was the Gunners of old and the performance kicked @r53! There was plenty of fireworks, plenty of soul and the songs we knew oh so well.

When they played Sweet Child of Mine the band and the crowd grabbed another gear and wow did that place move! Jase, Loz & Myself included. I think most surprising is when Jase gets into it because he's far from a fan. But then it was all over…. Or so I thought. I expected them to come out for an encore but to my pleasant surprise there was a while to go.

The 2 hour concert stretched into almost 3! Entertaining the whole way through and closed with Paradise City.

The crowd was extremely well behaved and when you think a lot of these people had been drinking the whole day watching the V8's and they are bogans anyway (I am one I can say it)  you expect a little trouble. But it never came. Everyone seemed to be really happy with the concert and just enjoyed the music.

We caught a cab out of Homebush (most of the parking and streets are closed for the race) and while the queue for the Taxi was 40 minutes long it was ever entertaining with different conversations and comments.

This is my first real "rock" concert. I've managed to get to 3 concerts now in total and I am so thrilled I was given the opportunity to head out last night.
Life is good J

Changes

Well I've said for a very long time that I need some changes in my life. So instead of sitting back like I have done for way too long changes are really happening in my life, when I'm unhappy I'm moving on.

So as you know I have been madly losing weight. It's become a slow process now around 45kg lighter than my heaviest weight and being the skinniest I have been in my adult life changing my waistline has been one of the first of many changes.

As my weight drops further and further my confidence increases rapidly further and further. It's a direct reaction. I also get a little more vain - funny the better I look the better I want to look.

I changed blogs - Have kept http://www.jadeyonline.com/ if you are looking for that one but I needed something a little fresher and a little different. A blog more about whatever I want to blog about in my life, products and things I might like. I'd like to start trialling and reviewing products once my followers increase. My weight loss and my wedding plans.

I registered a new domain name for my blog last night to make it easier for you to find me. http://www.thedeludedprincess.com/

I finally threw in the towel at Fitness First. There is only so long 1 person can work 60 - 70 plus hours per week. Me I have done it for about 4 years. It's too much. There was a time when the going was good and it was a fun place to work and I was earning good money with my commission. But come the GFC the money dried up. The results were impossible and unrealistic and the fun grew few and far between. I was getting sick all the time and promises made never went anywhere.

So a couple of weeks ago the decision was made for me to move on. It was while I was sick with the flu, went into work after a few days off and pulled the plug. It was a very scary thing to do but I am so glad that's over with.

We are running a Christmas Comp - You don't even have to buy anything
I now work at Adrenalin which is an awesome adventure and experience company. I've been working for them in a freelance capacity in photography for the last 4 years and Mr TDP (who also did the same) started there full time recently also. So I have met the staff before and we had quite a few drinks together at Bathurst. It's been awesome to walk into a new job where you actually know people.

Our Gift Vouchers can be delivered in these brushed steel tins.

Of course being Christmas I am learning on my feet. But boy we are rushed off them! It's going really well. Really really well and I am so grateful to be there. I need to start a bucket list for all the adventures and experiences I want to go on. "I'll take one of everything please"

We also have 93 days left until our wedding day and I am throwing myself into it's organising with gusto. There is still so much left to do! But I am actually getting a lot done now too. We have seen 2 photographers this week and have a 3rd to see on Saturday. Then we set up our Gift Registry Saturday also.  I've booked some entertainment and had a chat with my florist about flowers and decorating etc also.

I've been madly making invites. I don't know why I thought it would be different for me and I wouldn't get frustrated or tire out. It's so fiddly! It takes forever!

Has anyone ever hired a day of wedding co ordinator? It's a consideration to get everything set up and pulled down for the ceremony.

On my last post about MBT  Nicky asked

"Are these kind of like the sketchers ones i see on tv so much lately? "

The answer is kind of yes. The Sketchers are based on the same sort of principle but have apparently missed the mark. My Mother in Law has the sketchers and tells me she has found absolutely no benefit from them. Then she backed it up with "I've read a few articles about these shoes I hope you havent wasted your money too because apparently only one brand actually does anything. MBB's or something" On clarification MBT's it is. I had this sneaking suspicion that would be the case.
